YOSEMITE, CA - Three day backpacking trip with the Southern Yosemite Mountain Guides (SYMG) along the north rim of Yosemite Valley with views of Yosemite Falls and Half Dome.
And then everything goes back on the trailer. Right were it came from. Thanks for such a great trip guys!
The gear is stacked, the rafts get defleated and rolled up.
It's a group float down the river.
At the pull-out the boats get unloaded.
Ah, they've all jumped in the water to celebrate a good trip.
Suddenly there are only two left in the boat. Jason at the helm. Rachel looking good on the bow.
Everyone is still in the boat.
Some big splashes got everybody wet on that last run.
Another good rapid run for Mark and his team.

Mark and his crew hit Boxcar Rapid square on and make it through.
The crew digs in for sandwiches.
After a good catch comes the release. Looks like about an 18 inch fish! Could have been some good eats.
Danny manages to hook a good looking fish with his fly rod.
Eddie gets ready to start loading the rafts.
Class is back in session.
Danny gets all suited up to spend the morning fishing.
Once things get unpacked and the kitchen is set up, Dave and Ed whip up some eats.
Mark celebrates a well deserved victory after a solid day on the river.
A train rolls northbound (down river) this time as we pull into our spot for the night at Buckskin Mary Campground.
Letting lunch settle in and sitting Nepali style.

They're a dedicated bunch, and teamwork gets them through with out flipping the raft.
It's not over yet and Mark keeps a steady eye down stream.
And there they are... Kara in front suggesting a route.
Eddie stops to check up river for Mark's boat.
Mark's crew is looking pretty satisfied after the first section through Whitehorse. But there is more to come.
Back at the rafts, Dave and Eddie are ready to roll.
The class gathers at the top and gets a good perspective for the changes of the land around them.
The class continues further up the hill where Jason can get some cell coverage to call his daughter and wish her a happy birthday.
Dr. Taylor claims to have grown up around some Italians, and hence makes extensive use of his hands while lecturing.

Dave whips up omlets made to order for breakfast.
No photos taken after dark, but the next morning, Eddie and Mark were found strewn out in the open air.
Dave puts out a great dinner of shish-kabobs with which Cameron and Rachel are well pleased.
