The problem with having to do rounds, is they need to be done just before sunset when campers are likely to be settling into camp. But if I'm fast, I can still catch the tail end of the sunset like this one with some nice pink clouds over Mt. Jefferson and Castellated Ridge.
Nope, not the sun, it's the moon! This is two days after the full October Harvest moon and it's still very close to it's perigee, so it's nice and big. Here it's seen rising from behind the Mahoosuc Range.
Heading down the Buttress Trail into the Great Gulf Wilderness... things start to get interesting as the path passes through this pile of rocks.
